Calvin Tabs ("Calvin," "we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our browser extension and web application.

Information We Collect

We collect information only when you explicitly choose to save tabs:

• Tab Data: URLs, page titles, favicons, and page descriptions of tabs you choose to capture
• Page Content: Extracted text content, metadata, and headings from pages you capture, used for AI-powered organization
• Screenshots: A screenshot of the visible tab area at the time of capture
• Highlighted Text: Text quotes you explicitly save from web pages
• Account Information: Email address and name when you create an account
• Usage Data: Basic analytics about feature usage to improve the product

How We Use Your Information

• To save and organize your captured tabs into project folders
• To provide AI-powered organization suggestions
• To enable search across your saved tabs and quotes
• To sync your data across devices
• To improve our services and user experience

Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely using Supabase, which provides encryption at rest and in transit. We use industry-standard security measures to protect your information. Your data is associated with your account and is not shared with other users.

What We Do NOT Do

• We do NOT sell your personal information to third parties
• We do NOT track your general browsing activity
• We do NOT collect data from tabs you don't explicitly capture
• We do NOT use your data for advertising purposes

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate Calvin:

• Supabase: Database, authentication, and data storage
• Vercel: Web application hosting and serverless API infrastructure
• OpenAI: AI-powered tab organization and project suggestions (tab metadata and page content may be processed)
• Anthropic (Claude): AI-powered tab organization and project suggestions (tab metadata and page content may be processed)
• Google OAuth: Optional sign-in method

You can choose which AI provider and model is used in the extension settings. Tab data sent to AI providers is used solely for generating organization suggestions and is not retained by those providers beyond the scope of the API request.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access your personal data
• Delete your account and all associated data
• Export your saved tabs
• Opt out of AI-powered features

Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all associated data will be permanently removed within 30 days.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
